We've moved in!!

That's right folks we are officially out of the camper/trailer. Yeaaaahhh!!!!!

Our house is barely over a thousand square feet, however coming out of a camper it feels quite cavernous and luxurious. We've also started unpacking all of our belongings that have been stored for the past eighteen months. Unpacking some of our pots from North Carolina feels like being reunited with old friends. There were a couple of pots that we unpacked where both Christy and I felt a little disappointment. Maybe our tastes have changed? Maybe it will just take some time with these pots... maybe they will grow on us and we'll start to love them as we did before... time will tell.
In celebration of unpacking our pots we've decided to have a our first ever 'guess the potter' competition. Look at the pictures and try and guess the potter who made them.... or just enjoy the pretty pots.... your choice. If you choose to take a guess post your answers in the comments section....

I hope you enjoyed the pictures... we may have more soon as we continue to unpack boxes of pots.
Joe

Congratulations. Enjoy the comfort.
The only pots I recognize are in the last picture. I'm guessing Donna craven, left, and David Steumpfle, right.

I spot a Michael Hunt cup and a Rock Creek one too. Nice Clary Illian jar. Who made that tall pitcher on the end. I hope you'll tell us the answers. Yep, I see that Steumpfle jar too. Nice pots! Congrats on being in the house.

I see a couple of dover yunomis, some Michael Hunt yunomis, a Willem Gebben Mug, a couple of Warren Mckenzie yunomis and thats the first picture.

In the second I see one that looks like yours, Hewitt Jar, Clary Illian jar, not sure on this pitcher, and a skud pitcher.

The third picture I just recognize davids Jar. Who made the Jar on the left?

Well so far we have in the first picture (from right to left):
Willem Gebben, a couple of mine that I made at Dover pottery in NC, an older Rock Creek Pottery cup that Christy and I picked up at their "keeper sale" before they moved, a couple of Micheal Hunt's, and a Warren Mackenzie.

In the second picture we have (from left to right):
A jar of mine from Dover Pottery again, a jar of Mark Hewitt's that I got while I was working there, a Clary Illian jar, a nice wood fired mystery pitcher (I'll give the answers soon), and finally a Mark Skudlarek pitcher.

Final photo: Mystery woodfired covered jar with some nice rope impressions that don't show up in the photo.... this one might be difficult so I'll give a couple more hints. He's a young guy, and I believe he is moving soon to North Carolina. And of course David Steumpfle to finish things off.

I'll post the pitcher and covered jar answers soon, if no one else can guess them.

We are really happy for you both you have worked really hard on your home. Enjoy!
The pots looked great from the last firing.

The myster pitcher is also a Hewitt, or from a Hewitt apprentice at least. Right?

I think the little pitcher is one of Chis Early's. I have one very much like it here in my kitchen!

BTW, it is great to see you sitting on a couch reading, Joe! I hope you both do a bit of that this weekend.

Well Mike's got the pitcher right: Mark Hewitt (sorry Mom, good guess). The jar was made by Jordan Taylor, I believe I got it from him around 2003? My understanding is that he's not making pots any more and has moved onto making woodfired sculpture of some kind... too bad, it's a nice jar.
Thanks for playing everyone
